It’s time to collect items for our annual Operation Christmas Child outreach. Items collected will go in shoeboxes to be shipped to children all over the world this December. For many, this is the only Christmas gift they will receive.
All donations can be dropped off at the Welcome Center, the back foyer by the playground or at One City Kids thru the end of July- just look for the Christmas boxes. For a list of suggested donation items, please go onecity.church/operationchristmaschild.
Dream Center Serve Day is on Saturday, May 25 from 7:30 am-12:00 pm.
For this outreach we will be helping the Dream Center maintain their many acres of grass and sprucing up the entrance with beautiful flowers. If you are interested in serving, please sign up here.
We are asking everyone to wear your One City Cares “I love my city” t-shirt and if you don’t have one, any One City Church shirt is great! The Dream Center is located at 3890 FM 3514 in Beaumont. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Amy Everett at the church office, 409-892-8475 ext. 2226, or email [email protected].
*Unfortunately there is no childcare for this outreach.
Our FIRST One City Cares Serve Day is coming up on Saturday, March 9 from 8:00am-12:00 pm. We will be going out in teams all over SETX to serve and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Many of the organizations we partner with around SETX have project needs and on Serve Day, we want to address these needs to support and enhance the valuable work they are doing in our communities. We also need help in One City Tots (ages 0-3) and One City Kids (ages 4-8) on Serve Day so families can participate in the outreach. Please know, children ages 9+ can participate in Serve Day as long as they are with their parent or guardian at the project site.
If you are interested in serving on a project team or helping with One City Tots/Kids, please sign up here.
Have questions or need more information? Call Pastor Amy Everett at 409-892-8475 ext. 2226 or email [email protected].
The One City Cares Giving Tree is dripping with opportunities for you to give back this Christmas. The first opportunity is to purchase visa gift cards for the Harvest House Angels to care for the program participants’ basic, day to day needs. Look for the ivory tags on the Giving Tree!
We have also adopted a Kings Club family of 7. Just a little bit about this beautiful family…they are led by a strong single mom with 2 boys and 4 girls, 2 of which are twins…the 8 year old little girl has cerebral palsy and will have surgery in the new year. They’ve also been moving from transitional housing to living with family after their last home had irreparable roof damage but thankfully, they’ve just moved into a rent home. Let’s bless this family with an amazing Christmas! Look for the blue tags on the Giving Tree!
Lastly, we are partnering with Buckner Beaumont to bless local boys and girls in and out of foster care. Look for the green tags on the Giving Tree!
We will be collected gifts from now until Tuesday, Dec 12th. Please bring all gifts UNWRAPPED so we know what has come in. For more information about the Giving Tree, contact Pastor Amy Everett at the church office 409-892-8475, ext 2226 or email [email protected].
The holidays are not always the “most wonderful time of year” for SETX families in need. We will be collecting dry goods from Nov. 5-19th to help provide for the much anticipated Thanksgiving and Christmas meal for SETX families. Please bring your donated items to the One City Cares table in the Welcome Center and we will take care of the rest! For more information, please call Pastor Amy Everett at 409.892.8475, ext. 2226 or email [email protected].
We have another opportunity for you to give back at our annual Fall Carnival on Tuesday, October 31st from 5:30-8:00 pm. The LifeShare Bus will be at the Event Center so while you’re here, set aside just a few minutes to make a life changing donation.
Remember, your donation has the potential to save lives with every unit collected helping up to three people in need. To make an appointment and reserve your spot, go to onecity.church/drive. Appointments are highly encouraged for this one as there are limited spots on the bus to donate. We hope to see you there!
